Medical equipment requires multi-layer breathable poly film for sterilisation and protection. These devices must be packaged in a clean and sterile environment. Components are therefore packed in heat sealed pouches for protection and some components are entirely heat sealed. PTFE coated tapes and fabrics can be used to prevent the poly film from sticking to the heating element and to achieve a secure heat seal.

PTFE Fabrics can work continuously in temperatures from -15°C to +260°C for tapes containing silicone.
